Tailor joins the Lorax Cast

Taylor joins the cast of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax to be released by Universal and Illumination Entertainment. This CGI animated adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book also stars Danny DeVito, Zac Efron and Betty White.

Taylor will voice the character of Audrey, the dream girl of Ted, voiced by Zac Efron in her animated feature film debut.

Taylor Swift‘s best friend, Abigail Anderson, called upon her famous pal the other day as she is trying to raise funds for her school’s diving and swim team.

Anderson, who attends the University of Kansas, asked Swift if she would autograph a Jayhawks basketball jersey to benefit the team. Not to let her friend down, the ‘Mean‘ singer gave her a hearty “yes.”

The white No. 1 jersey has the name ‘Swift’ embellished on the back in the school’s colors, cobalt blue and red.

Bidding started at $200 but quickly increased to the final bid of $1,005. Every cent went to the school’s water sports squad, of which Swift’s friend is a member.

After a short break, Swift’s Speak Now World Tour picked up again last week Oslo. The European leg continues with stops in Italy, France, Spain and the U.K.

Her next U.S. tour dates are May 27 and 28 in Omaha, Neb.

Swift recently released the song ‘Mean’ as the latest single from her album ‘Speak Now.’

Currently in the midst of a World Tour, Swift leaves Asia and heads to Brussels to kick off a slew of European dates on Sunday.

Back stateside this May, the star announced plans to share the stage with some other notable crooners. Hunter Hays, Josh Kelley (Katherine Heigl‘s hubby) and American Idol alum Danny Gokey, who will open for the North American leg of Swift’s tour, which starts May 27 in Omaha.

Singer Taylor Swift is currently traveling around the world for her Speak Now concert tour. The country singer was recently in Asia, and before she left she posted one final photo to her Twitter account along with Tweeting:

Taylor Swift celebrated her 7th #1 record this week when “Back To December” jumped from #5 to #1 on the Mediabase / Country Aircheck chart, marking her second consecutive #1 single from her Multi-Platinum Speak Now CD, released in October on Big Machine Records. Swift’s first #1 was 2007’s “Our Song,” which topped the charts for 6 consecutive weeks.

Also this week, Taylor’s self-titled debut CD, released in 2006, was certified 5X-Platinum by the RIAA for sales of more than 5 Million copies. Her Fearless album is currently 6X-Platinum, and Speak Now is Triple-Platinum.

Taylor just wrapped the sold-out Asian leg of her TAYLOR SWIFT SPEAK NOW WORLD TOUR 2011, and the European tour kicks off this week with a March 6 show in Brussels, Belgium. This year, she will play 90 shows in 19 countries spanning four continents, and she announced today that Frankie Ballard, Danny Gokey, Hunter Hayes, Josh Kelley, Randy Montana, James Wesley and Charlie Worsham will each open selected shows of the North American leg of the tour, which starts May 27th in Omaha.

As previously announced, featured artist NEEDTOBREATHE will perform on all North American SPEAK NOW tour dates.

Two guest artists will perform on each of Taylor’s stadium dates, in addition to NEEDTOBREATHE.
